UP UP UP I got this song from a guy as a "hint hint" indirect message, and it was tastefully unseating. |

| Animal Collective – Chocolate Girl Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| A guy gave me a mix CD of songs awhile ago and this song was the opener or a range of cryptic songs arranged as a type of message. I still puzzle over this song, it's quite cute. | |
| Animal Collective – It's You Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| Interpol – Rest My Chemistry Lyrics | 18 years ago |

hm. "three kinds of yes" -lust yes -drunk yes -i don't care yes I never interpreted this song to be about durgs until I came here (discussion boards on youtube are crap, everyone is very rude). I originally saw it as a a song about a guy who lives his life in a wild manner, drinking, partying, rowdy behavior etc; And comes across a young girl, beautiful, pure and unspoiled. To him, she is fascinating in her innocence, but he knows better and sadly only settles from watching her from afar, knowing that nothing good would come between them. So he goes home a reflects on his life. I've been wanting to hear an acoustic version of this song, without the background keyboard things. |

| Interpol – Stella Was a Diver and She Was Always Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I recently picked up a complication of Inteprol songs done on souly string instruments (i.e. cello, violin) and this song is on there. It's a beautiful arrangement and well done actually. It makes you appreciate the more artistic, romantic and dramatic side of Interpol. This song...Hm, I always considered it a song about a mysterious girl. bluemic_rainbows pretty much has my opinions down. |

| Interpol – The Lighthouse Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is astounding live and... ...It's my ringtone. But anyway, I came to a complete stop when I was first listening to Our Love to Admire and this song came on. I mean, it's got imagery all over it. The cresendo's (sp) of the guitar lines and their slow disappearance can stand for either waves, the actual light of a lighthouse or slow sighs of tired breathing. The songs seemed to strike me of the depths of some depression or drug addiction. Or perhaps being tired with the monotomy of life as in everything just seems to be the same these days despite all the sex, drugs, music, parties and alcohol (I'm sure all of us here know Paul is quite the..."drinker" for a lameo way of putting it..). Kazuu90210 - I love your interpretation. |

| Interpol – Obstacle 1 Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Way back when when I first heard this song, without looking up the lyrics it originally made me feel mornful, or longing. Obstacle 1 always came off as a song about a fatal obsession with a girl who doesn't even seem to notice you, or rather just knows you have intentions with her, and for her own pleasure, she messes with your mind. *she puts the weight, it's in the way that she walks* They both know it, but the poor guy gets tortured and teased with emotional games, like dangling candy (or whatever pleasure bringing item of your choice) just within your reach then yanking it out of range. Also, when I first got into this song I thought the line "Her heaven is never enough" was "oh heaven is never enough". Interpol's lyrics describe women so....Sensually, it's delicious. |
