Honestly who why would you lose respect for the song if it was about rape it is still the same god damn song as before. Now I am one for digging deep down to the meaning of a song but that doesn't change the tone of the song for me. Something that changed my whole perception of a song, I was humming tears in heaven and i knew how to play it but I didn't know the lyrics and my music teacher told me that was about Clapton's son that had died and that made it so much more of a deep song for me. Now for Plush the acoustic just blows my mind but its more the sound than the lyrics that does it for me personally. |
