Quite Frankly This song means alot to me. This song basically represents my past few years of christianity. I think this song talks about how you can still be a christian and still wonder from the path. The whole idea of old habits coming back. In my case depression is a major issue. this is basically talking about depression. "It's in this wake that I find myself Losing the will to resume this hell When every breath is a dying wish" --------------- "This broken place that I call my home Is deep in the sorrow that I have sewn And i can't erase what is in my heart I wanted to finish before it starts" here he is talking about how he cant erase what has happend in the past, but he wants to finish what he started. Again probably referencing our want to sin. In the next stanza he talks about how we all try to find ways of not feeling the guilt of our sin.."My own solution in discretion again" and how we are always waiting for something...some calling "I've been waiting for a call to reach my veins Ready or not" In the last stanza i think hes just talking about himself and how when he dies he has a salvation and forgiveness is his to keep because Christ came and died for our sins. "I know it's hard to forgive this man Driving the failure into your hands" Here hes talking about how he shouldn't have been forgiven and i think the driving the failure into your hands has reference to the cross about the nails, but instead the weight of sin." I find this song painting a picture of someone who is faultering and finds there way back. |
