They definitely started as a christian band back in the late 90's. But, by the time their third album "The Satellite Years" (many people think this was their first album) was released, they were steering away from that direction. Many Lineup changes had already taken place at that point (including Jay Forrest replacing Doug Venable on vocals). I read an interview with them a couple of years later (probably the "A Types" era) in which they stated that they were no longer a "Christian" band. However, at this point, there was only one original member still in the band (Josh, the guitarist). |
