The Fray – Ungodly Hour Lyrics 17 years ago
I agree but I think that this about a boy and girl that got in a fight and the boy doesnt think he is wrong so we wont apologize for what he was said to do or actually did becasue he thinks he has done no wrong. "And I am short on words knowing what's occurred, She begins to leave because of me" I think this is talking about him being left and he is short that she would leave him because of what he might have done, but he stands firm and believes that he has truly done no wrong. "Her bag is now much heavier" think this is just talking about things because of what has happened between them. Talking about their "Ungodly Hour" think this just means about how as everything comes to an end, it doesnt matter who was right and who was wrong cause now for whatever reason they are both left alone.

The Fray – Where The Story Ends Lyrics 17 years ago
I think the first half of the song is pretty cut and dry. I think its about people in realtionships not wanting to become attached of open themselves up to getting hurt. But I also think it is about losing your individualism, about a person afraid of becoming a couple rather then two people together. I say that because of where it talks about, "Trying not to lose your own, boxing up everything, youve got
All you ever knew of home, youre scared scared to see". I think form halfway down things get a little more where personal interprataions take place. The just knowing distance part is about people that want eachother but cant make it work, they love each other but something is always wrong. Their close at times, but when things get hard they seperate and run their own ways. "Kiss away the difference, I know you hate this one", I think it is about, one of them trying to make everything better by saying Im sorry or kissing you to show that their alright, even if you dont feel the same. "this is how the story ends", means that this is the end and the process restarts.

I think the last set of lines is the most powerful. "Violins make no sound", that is just odd, and I think thats what its meant to be. It just not what you'd expect. "I begin to feel the ground", I think this is saying how he isnt in the clouds any longer, when he/she is forced to facce life with out the other cause they didnt see everything falling about, it just wasnt expected. (I think that line and the one about the violins are linked). "Is this how the story ends, or have we just begun", I think this is about one of them wondering if the other will come back or are stuck to face new begins with alone or with another love.

The Fray – Never Say Never Lyrics 17 years ago
OK This is my take. Similiar to those above. The lyrics are right I checked them to the fray website.

I think its about friends that have been friends for years, and one is growing closer and wanting to be more then just friends. But the other knows that it could ruin their relationship. The one has feelings of more then friendship but doesnt want to lose a friend if it doesnt work out, "Falling in and out of love, Ashamed and proud of, together all the while". I think the "younger now then when we were before" I think is talking about, they are less caring about life and looking more for happiness. Just like a young child. I think the rest about being the queen is talking about even if you go on to have the world, Someone as simple as me will be here to make sure your safe.

The Fray – Say When Lyrics 17 years ago
3xX is right. This is a beautiful song, and I think it is pretty straight forward, but also the fray has been amazing at leaving songs to easially be taken to fit one's own situation. Although I think 3xX is pretty dead on. I read it and got the same thing.

James Blunt – Shine On Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is so fitting for my life right now, the end has come to a 6 month serious relationship, and this describs how i felt and how things when. After she had said goodbye and we we were going to have to seperate for now, silence greeted her words, i knew that things were rocky and that i probly was not going to be able to sort things out but nothing could prepare me for the heart ache that i have right now. But like gina.ly said it is so worth every tear shed and puts me so much closer to the feel on a love that will last forever.

God Bless you all and happy new year.

I read an interview where James said that this song is about the time at the end of his career when all his fans have gone on to a new band, and how he did it for the love of music not for the fame or the fans he just wanted to express himself.

Shinedown – 45 Lyrics 18 years ago
Well, I agree with "Thunderbolt" I believe that this song can be interpeted into a song about suicide, but I dont think that that is what the song is really talking about, I believe that the song is about a young kid that got in with the wrong crowd and maybe into drugs and is cleaned up, hence "swimming through the ashes of another life" and I think that when it says "I'm staring down the barrel of a 45" is reffering to that he has to deal with the consquences of the past life that he lived, and that since he as seen this side of life he is sending a message to his neew baby the "unborn child" that he needs to look at the world not us its face value.
