Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name Lyrics 17 years ago
OK....you guys are all right, this song is about a guy who is waiting to be executed.
I like Iced Earth's version of this song, Barlow is one my favorite vocalists, but CoF's version is horrible.
Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING can surpass Dickonson's voice on this song. I've seen them live this year in Romania (the first time they came with Dickinson and Adrian Smith), and they were full of energy, Bruce was jumping on stage from moment to moment. They played most of their greatest songs closing with Hallowed Be Thy Name (which was the highlight).
UP THE IRONS!!!!! \m/

Dream Theater – Lifting Shadows off a Dream Lyrics 17 years ago
The intro to this song is pure bliss! Why John Myung doesn't write lyrics anymore?

Dream Theater – The Silent Man Lyrics 17 years ago
Petrucci wrote The Silent Man. Moore wrote 6:00, Lie and Space-Dye Vest from "Awake" as I recall.
Anyway, The Silent Man is one of my favorite DT songs....so simple and yet so beautiful song.

this song is purely amazing, and Dave playing it on his Strat #0001 at Fender Strat Concert in 2004 it is mind - blowing

Pink Floyd – Echoes Lyrics 18 years ago
The best Floyd song ever, it sounds like a trip into space and back.
The sonar "beeps" at the beginning of this song are like a countdown, after this comes the short instrumental guitar part which to me is like when a rocket is about to be launched, then the drums gets in and is just like the rocket has been launched, after this comes the lyrics which describes the trip, then the instrumental jam which is like the approaching to Moon (for example), then comes that strange "noise" part which sounds like outer space, then comes my favorite part: the "re-entry" which is my favorite moment in all Pink Floyd songs, and then the lyrics again and finally the last part which includes some "memories" (again strange noises) from the trip.
Sorry for my language. :">

Pink Floyd – One of These Days Lyrics 18 years ago
I've always thought about "One of these Days" as an instrumental "Mini - Echoes".

Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb Lyrics 18 years ago
the guitar solos in this song are the best guitar solos I've ever heard in my life (especially in the live version of PULSE) and I think is their best song after "Echoes"

Pink Floyd – Learning to Fly Lyrics 18 years ago
The second best song from A Momentary Lapse of Reason IMHO (only On the Turning Away is better), and is about David's desire of flying.

Pink Floyd – Astronomy Domine Lyrics 18 years ago
