to me, feeling yourself disintegrate is about all the love you can have for life. nor just love for people, but for everything. clouds, air, wind, stars, animals, food, laughter , or whatever floats your boat |

i often feel like the world is in slow motion. i looove driving to this song and smiling at the universe, for its so vast and mysterious! i heard this for the first time while traveling in Africa, surfing the most beautiful, perfect waves in my life. it had been my dream to go to this place, and ever since, i've been living my life in slooooooooooow mooootion. |

oh, and i reallly dislike how everyone says, "live each day like its your last, for you never know when it will end". thats complete, utter bullshit! to me, the song is about realizing just the opposite, that you can actually kick it, do nothing, be unproductive and still be happy! wow, you DONT have to be this amazing do-it-all and have an extraordinary life. not to say that those thing arent good (ive traveled the world, done some very, very, very strange and crazy shit), but to realize that just cruising through life, being grateful for the oppotrunity to wake up and just go through the motions in a peaceful, curious mannor. people get too worried that they're not living their lives...then go live! DO all that crazy shit, and you'll realize that you dont need that stuff. just find a balance. yes, you should live a lot of life like its gonna end, but live even more of it knowing that you dont have to worry about "living". just relaaaaaaaaaaax...breathe.......and look up! clouds and stars are ________. |

when i heard this live, and the chord struck as david sings "Home, home again..." i found my home. it is that moment. 19 years young, october 10th, 2006. i consider my life in two phases now; all the days leading up to october 10th, 2006, and those after. the day itself...well, im not sure if i can really cosider that a 'day' if you know what i mean? nooooooo words, pictures or anything can explain myself, so i'll just trust others have experienced "it" and know what "it" is. |

one more thing. there is no way i could explain to anyone what goes on in my head...i firmly belive that no one REALLY understands anyone, or anything. whether you agree with that statement or not, try this: imagine that to be fact, then observe the world. it will make sense. trust me. well, what makes sense is that nothing in fact makes sense, and that everyone and everything is insane, yet somehow we manage to get through it. as the crazy voice in between 'money' and 'us and them' says, "why would anyone do anything?" |

This song trips me out so much...easily the most influential song on my life of all time. When I hear it, i feel like im floating through existence smiling and laughing, and --absolutely fascinated-- with the universe. i cant help but dance through the air with a blissful grin and twinkle in my eye when listeniong to this song. everything is beautiful...when I heard this live at the Roger Waters show (and back-up band, sounded 100% like Pink Floyd), i lost myself. heaviest 3:26 seconds of my life...ever...changed me mroe than anything. i love this song. to call it the best moment of my life is an understatement.
The whole album has significantly influenced who I am. I now study astrophysics, laugh whole-heartedly whenever i get f**ked over, and talk to myself/all living and non-living things/all entities because of this song and album. simply put, i LOVE Pink Floyd. |
