it seems to me that this song is about a guy who was a controllive//abusive jerk. the girl truly loved him and put up with it then she realized how she was being treated. when the girl left him he realized that she truly loved him and that no one would love him like that.he realized that he was wrong for treating her the way he did and that he was a "stupid boy" for doing so. this song is absolutely beautiful. keith's version is amazing. as is saras. the first time i heard this song it touched my heart. i had been in a relationship with a very controllive//abusive guy. i put my all into our relationship only to watch it fall apart. i talk to him every now and then and he said this song reminds him of himself and it upsets him. amazing song,amazing message,amazing musician,amazing writer. |

this song is amazing. i think the best keith urban song. i'm not a country music fan,but i just love keith's music. i agree,this song is awesome live. he has a marching band come out at the end of it. and it seems like everyone has the correct meaning of the song. =] |
