Great song, but I honestly don't understand it. The first two lines contradict each other. "Let's get f***ed up and die I'm speaking figuratively of course" Huh? Not really something you usually speak figuratively about. Whatever, the only song I really like from MCS. |

I would just like to point out that, contrary to popular belief, John Lennon did NOT write this song about LSD. Lennon based this song off of a drawing that his son brought home of a girl named Lucy, in the sky, surrounded with what appeared to be diamonds. The song depicts the fantastic world that unfolded in John's mind following when he saw the picture - he was inspired, not high. I think it's funny how people are so quick to believe a band of paparazzi nobodies, but not a brilliant artist telling his fans about how he was inspired. This is my favorite Beatles song and always will be. :) |
