this song, to me, is about a person who has just died and is in a purgatory-like state and he is asking a deceased person he knows to help him try to get to "heaven." However, in the lines "No passage Here after You're on your own" The deceased person cannot help him because of his past actions. So his soul is in turn "plundered" by his past actions. |
