This isn't a make you cry song, but it definately reminds me of my wife and her relationship with her dad. Before we got married they had probably 45 minutes of quality father/daughter time together and now he's trying to catch up on lost time and her first reaction is suspicion. I read somewhere this song was written right after the LA riots. To me the song is saying that there is a lot wrong with the world but we should still keep hanging on. I am really starting to think this song is about a woman who has passed on and is trying to comfort bother her husband and child she left behind. This song really gets me choked up whe nI hear it. |
