Well, adding to my comment above - Chasing pavements... In my opinion the pavements symbolise a journey through life, you walk and walk and walk, visit places, keep on going and going. Pavements never end or conclude and I think that's the way she feels about the person she loves - she'll just keep on walking and walking because she thinks he'll never love her.. Not sure about it, what do you guys think :S |

To me this song is really hard to get your head around - Idlewild seem to make their meaings so subtle but yet so clever and obvious if you catch onto it. I'm not sure if I have - I think this song is about the breakdown of communication between a couple...One tries their best to understand the other; "It's always 3am in your world, so i'm drinking this as if i hadn't slept." But their relationship remains superficial and kind of pointless, despite any efforts to improve it. |

| Love steals us from lonlieness - I think it's about the confusion between a couple when someone has done wrong (for example, cheated) and the other person is trying to convince them to take them back. Idlewild are saying that whoever says that you need to be with someone to be happy or "shield us from lonlieness" is wrong because if you're in the wrong relationship then it will only have a negative effect on the both of you. | |

To me, this song is relevent as its about a guy who has cheated on a girl but regrets it. He might have lied about it "I should have told you everything" but he still loves her and wants to be right for her. Basically about the point in a relationship where you know you can't save yourselves but your sorry to let it go. |

This song means so much to me. My boyfriend and I recently split up because my best friend told me he had cheated on me, though my boyfriend denies everything. It's difficult not knowing who to believe but I eventually chose my best friend. To me, this song describes leaving someone because you have to, and being alone will be so different and so difficult and your still unsure whether you have done or said the right things or have had the right things said to you. |

I think that this song is about loving someone so much but you are too scared to tell them, in fear of rejection. She seems to be battling with hereself - should you waste the love you feel and just forget about it, find out where you stand or just declare your love? This is a great song, Adele has such a great voice. |
