i am quite terrible at this whole interpretation bit and i dont see the song as one big theme but some good seperate points that you can kinda intertwine... butttt the lines I don't really need to see so I don't need to see so I'll paint, I don't know I'll paint it black. I don't need to see, I don't see how you see out of your window. I don't need to see I'll paint mine black. this, to me, screams frustration. Like not understanding how to do something, so you give up and spite yourself in the process of giving up... for example "im not even going to bother trying to figure out how you got that from that."
