| Fear Before – High As A Horse Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It's basically all been said, but - "If we give the horses blinders they won't see the approaching ledge Too much time and effort spent on just another bridge" I think that line is aimed for at the doctor's who prescribe these drugs, they'll give patients something to placate them for the time being because it's the easy option. |

| Fear Before – Drowning The Old Hag Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It definitely makes more sense to be about sleep paralysis, but people seem to have completely missed out these lines in their interpretations: "Don’t tell me Don’t tell me that there is nothing to fear Trying to share it is a reckless endeavor I can’t take the weight of this head full of water" It makes me think that he's tried to tell people about it, but none of them believed it or just tried to play down the effect it was having on him. |

| Polar Bear Club – Eat dinner, Bury the Dog, and Run Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I'm pretty sure the line "today I reached into a shitter and saw the inmost part of me" is a reference to Trainspotting. | |
| Alexisonfire – Accept Crime Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I saw them at the Eastpak Antidote tour and George said the song is about people using religion to justify homophobia. Definitely my favourite song off OC/YC. |

| Brand New – At the Bottom Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I'm fairly certain it's: And we spoke About the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost And which PSALMS we had loved the most And then we all turned to dirt And dust It fits in better with the line above it and I'm just not hearing "songs". |

| White Lies – Farewell to the Fairground Lyrics | 16 years ago |
this song makes me think of prypriat in ukraine, when it was evacuated after the chernobyl accident. there's a ferris wheel there, among all the apartment blocks and now its just bleak, like a ghost town. also, the video was shot in russia ;D. |

| Dir En Grey – Mazohyst Of Decadence (English) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"mazohyst=masochist. it's only spelled differently, for fuck's sake. at least try to learn your own language." surely if it's spelled WRONG, it wouldn't matter if we could speak english. |

| Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start – Robin Fleshman Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this makes me think of someone taking advantage of a girl at a party :/. | |
| Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start – Track 5 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i don't know about the first line, but the second is pretty obvious that he doesn't think very much of himself. | |
| City and Colour – As Much As I Ever Could Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this whole album gives me shivers, i've been listening to it non-stop. is it weird that this song really reminds me of jeff buckley? i think the actual meaning is fairly obvious: he's away from his 'love', and he just doesn't feel like he belongs where he is. maybe touring alot :S i've noticed in a few songs, the lyrics suggest he'd rather be somewhere else than playing shows. i kind of find that quite disheartening but also i think alot of people would struggle being away from loved ones. aaaaaaand... i'm done. |

| City and Colour – Sleeping Sickness Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i still can't decide whether i prefer this or the demo. but, i am almost certain its about insomnia at least, on his myspace it says something like "i'm dallas, i can't sleep bla bla". |
| Silverstein – Here Today, Gone Tomorrow Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it is about john beatz, but it also sounds pretty optimistic aswell though; "Don't be sad, don't feel sorrow. The memories in our hearts, I won't forget." |
| Circa Survive – Kicking Your Crosses Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i think the line; "we'll live as slaves to love" is about being forced/coerced into believing in god whether you want to or not. love being god (god is love and all that jazz). i don't think its about denying god, i think its just about being unsure. "i hope that it’s worth it but i’ll never know". |

| The Almost – I Mostly Like to Copy Other People Lyrics | 18 years ago |

is it me, or is the intro. to this song from an underoath song? i can't think which one. |
| Imogen Heap – Hide and Seek Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i have to agree with sparkglitterbang. it seems more about divorce and moving house anything else, written from the child's point of view. it sounds like she thinks the parents are being selfish and not considering her feelings, which kind of fits in with the childlike references: "spin me around again" - like what you'd do when playing with a kid. "hide and seek, trains and sewing machines, all those years, they were here first." 'here' being the house they're moving from. |

| Linkin Park – Given Up Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"We were looking back at the things that we had done in the past… and I think we just figured that we had exhausted that sound. It was easy for us to replicate, it was easy for other bands to replicate, and we just needed to move on," - Mike Shinoda. bands make music for themselves as much as for their fans. if you don't like it, fair enough, listen to the old albums and stop bitching. as for the meaning, i think its about being around people who don't really understand/care about your problems: "Is there nothing you can say?" "Looking for help somehow somewhere And no one cares." i know it could probably be other things too, that's what makes it more interesting to me. everyone can associate parts of the songs to their own life etc. |

| Manchester Orchestra – Where Have You Been Lyrics | 18 years ago |
can anyone explain the "i'll be digesting your legs". it seems a pretty random thing to say :S. |
| Shiny Toy Guns – We Are Pilots Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i think the homosexuality idea fits, i'm not totally sure but i think carah faye is gay and i think her family thought it was wrong. "What about my problems? The people try to solve them I guess I'm under the weather Since no one else belongs here with me" - how can anyone help/understand if they're not going through the same things. "Hello mother, some news for you I'm really not that crazy Hello father, I'm curious Why you think there's something wrong with me" - pretty obvious. her parents think she's crazy or there's something wrong with her. "Sunday I cried all night And it hurt so bad But if you try to understand This is who I am" - someone said earlier about sunday being the day of mass, that's what made me think about the religious parents. just some ideas :). |
