After listening to it and reading through the lyrics thouroughly, I think that it's about a psychotic rapist/serial killer, this is sort of his manic sentiment towards his victim as he is about to defile her (possibly for the last time).

Apple Country is a brand of apples that come from New York, and I think Jimmy and Steve made this song to be silly bitches, perhaps a prototype song to Left Rights. |

The lyrics remind me of the old urban legend about the kids who took LSD and had a religious experience while staring at the sun, and as a result went blind. The "crimson eye" could be retinal burns mistaken for something else while tripping. Lol! |

The song is somewhat cryptic, but I agree that it's a song about an adult looking back on his childhood. The words of the song are simplified to what his inner child has to say about becoming an adult.
It also implies a sense of homesickness from the adult's perspective, wishing to go back to the happy innocent sheltered life of a small child. |
