Personally, I do think this is about a relationship. Like many others, i can put it to experience. The best part has to be where he finds out that 'this is who i really am' as, I loved the same person for 3 years, and still do, ofcourse i recently fell out with her because i cant hack being best friends, but i tried and would still try to change into the person she wants. And i dont think she realised how much she had been killing me :P Also, i can relate to friendship too, mainly because of the beggining. I had a really rought time because i loved this girl, and i guess love is blind, because I only did what was best for her, and I stuck up for and so on, and lost everyone, even my best friend who, well i guess i just wanted to break down on him but he wasnt there when i needed him. My fault. Great song. |

yourcocaine I completely agree. Except I love her not a Him. But yeah, it really eats you inside, and it starts to make you angry and you keep questioning why you love someone, and why cant you just let your feeling go. Somehow i always find myself in square 1, right back at the beginning. |

I love this song also. From purple rain, as devilchild said, now matter how much he hates it he ends up like his parents, but i think the difference is that prince uses his musical talent and succeeds and is able to change the way of his father who didnt make it. I love it because its just got a fantastic meaning to it. |

Im not really knowledgable on what this songs about, but i absolutly love it. I bought purple rain DVD for the reason that I loved 'when doves cry', heard it on one of the music channels when i was flipping through. I get stared at alot for being 17 and in love with prince :P But yeah, i love the chorus, because, it makes me think of this friend who means more to me than anything. Technically i love her, but yeah. Good song. |

I love this song, but i never knew it was from Spiderman 2 soundtrack. If you do a search on youtube for this song and Batman, theres a fanmade video by someone using the original 1989 batman movie with michael keaton. The song is way better for batman when you watch the video. And like other here, I can relate to pieces of it. Obviously I aint the webslinger or the Gotham Detective. But yeah. |
