These lyrics are incredulously wrong...
This song is about how he (john, or whoever) deals with life, how he looks at it. And how whatever lies you tell yourself, no matter how much you want to believe them, you can't escape what's inside, what the truth is. |

When I was listening to this, purse struck me as a gun. So I thought the mrs was going to shoot the man, but everyone elses interpretations are more fitting.
Definately if you think about where it says 'between the purse and the badge', it has something to do with a score of some sort, whether it be drugs or money.
Sheer poetic genuis. |

this songis about always remaining yourself, because yourself is really all you need.
perfection is something that no one needs to be, and this song basically says that he isnt going to be perfect, but himself, because he isnt going to be someone else just to fit in. |

this song is about people chainging and changing to fit the mold that the "friend" if theirs wants them to fit. and the "friend" doesnt want to BE their "friend" until they change. its fairly common.
but finally they give up and give the "friend" a big fuck you and go their own way. |

| Seether – Like Suicide Lyrics

Hmm... I agree about the lyrics. They seem fucked up but the lyrics that come with the cd say "she's coming over like a suicide" and "she's coming over wearing genocide", so the only person that can be right here is the actual lyricist himself.
I think this song is talking about the loss of someone dear... and like they can't do anything about it, they feel useless. But it could also refer to drugs. |

Its "you lost your self-esteem along the way"
"I feel so raped, so follow me down."
Seether is a fucking kick ass band. They say what they mean and mean what they say. I don't think this song was a response to "call me..", it just doesn't really sound that way. But oh my GOD! They are kick ass live. |
