that lyric needs to be corrected. It's actually, "Our growing pains be way deeper than Mike Seavers" which is a reference to Kirk Cameron's role as Mike Seaver on the 80's show 'Growing Pains' |

| Dionne Farris – Hopeless Lyrics | 14 years ago |

This song is pretty much the theme of the 1997 romantic drama, 'Love Jones' I was first introduced to it after watching that movie, when it opens and the song is playing as the viewer is looking at Nina's portfolio. God. I fell in love with it immediately. I believe the film's first act does a very good job of explaining the meaning behind the song- a woman is heartbroken/leaving a broken relationship/venturing out into the new and unknown and she feels as if the future is bleak. She yearns for those simple moments, those good mornings- those yesterdays...but they're gone. But she refuses to stay in this rut- and moves on. They say she's hopeless- but she's gonna emerge on top. Or at least that's what I think. |

Just pointing out some lyric corrections In that first verse the correct lyric is: "And I know that you have got addicted with you eyes" the following bridge is actually: "This is it Like I said I’m a light of your world Run away We can feel This is real Every time I’m in love, yeah I feel" the next one is actually: "This is it I can feel I’m the light of the world This is real Feel my song we can say And I tell you feel that way" |

| Michael Jackson – Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The part about the vegetable/buffet I think he's implying that you are a vegetable meaning you're nothing, you have nothing to offer...like a doctor says someone brain dead is a vegetable... and a buffet like you always have the beef, you have all the beef the info always got stuff in circulation. It's like he's saying you always talking/starting beefs but you really aren't saying anything...you have nothing to offer. | |

| Alicia Keys – Rear View Mirror Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's basically a song about a girl who fell under the sway of temptation from another man, but she realizes her mistake and successfully gets back with the original guy. She now plans to work extra hard to keep the relationship intact, by having him not dwell in the past or look in the rear view mirror at the things they did before. | |
| Jay-Z – Lost One Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| actually, the second verse seems to be more about Rosario Dawson... the age and the fact that he says she lost one seems to add up. The "B" at the beginning could simply just be a production echo commonly done to fill empty spaces in music. Alicia Keys did it in Karma... there are other examples but I can't name none now. | |
