the way i see it is a Sister of Charity ("social nun") just wakes up for a new day. she cries every night because she sees the pain and misery every day. she wishes she can take the pain and sin away from the world. wakes up to another dawn that is painfully different. i dont know about how she keeps her faith at all... "Sister of Charity remains a mystery". just to throw it out there, some cultures of "nuns" follow the Rule of Benedict. im guessing it's always going to be part of her life to follow the rules that St. Benedict wrote and she cannot do a thing about it (which is why she cries). this is how i see it. correct me if im wrong. |

its probably about the "haters". the lungs reference could mean the breath of those people yelling and the more they yell, the more they add fuel to the fire (blue star = hot Oo, lungs = breath, soothing = please keep going it feels good). i mean it could also be about the fans of deftones just shouting their lungs out and feeding more into his veins (like its a drug, or adrenaline). this could be like a thank you song to the fans or to the people that dont like them. or maybe its not aimed at deftones themselves directly (could be a group or someone else). either way this song kicks too much ass to hate it in the first place. fucking deftones RULE!!!!!!! |

i love this song so much!! but to me, its talking about the whole generation in general. i mean, look at the lyrics. they just cant compare to one group of people. it's dealing with everyone. but that's just me. this song, i must say, is made to perfection with alot of feeling in it. its... so.. beautiful.. |
