Does anyone think the riff in the instrumental part is a ripoff of a song by Rush? I can't remember the name, tho.. Any Rush fans? |

i don't think it has to be a stalker, just someone who really really loved her girl, but she went away 'cause he was hurting her (too much love tends to hurt).. or maybe they were hurting each other.. so, he knows he can't change that fact, thus he will hurt her again, so there's no point to go searching for her because history will repeat itself.. he rather think about her smiling (happy, wherever she's at).. and he kept t-shirts she left behind when she moved as mementos, and she even sent some postals cards to show she cares about him.. or i'm being too optimistic? mm.. stalker or dead girl.. would be too freaky for KD, i don't buy it |

"or a bad joke i can't sit through but i smile cause i feel like i have to" shouldn't be "i can't see through"? |

the whole first stanza i found it just outstanding: he starts with a cadillac (maybe one of the most luxury cars there is) and closes with a cave, back to the origin.. it really makes me think about the futility of our efforts about progress and wealth if we can't enjoy our own lives to its simplicity what's the point of having a big, flashy expensive car if you can't park it anywhere? well, that's what i think |

is a downward spiral you're f*cked, so you start feeling f*cked for being f*cked, and that just f*cks you more.. so, you're f*cked is a chronic disease, you can't get out and nobody can get you out.. have to be there to comprehend |

yeah, bloody nagas are frightful! better stay home.. anyways, i started reading these so called 'interpretations' about the suicidal/beaten up girl and thought: man, so much idle people around here.. but from the lyrics, their posts are actually pretty plain obvious, and obviously, the author would deny any of them.. and he's right.. song aren't stories, they're coded messages, and this one is simple enough: life sucks, but still u can write a gloomy song with a nice old sticky upbeat mood, just like the cure wtf.. |

Hmm.. a tough one indeed. All Lee's lyrics gives me the impression of random thinking connected somehow to a deeper, unique and very specific idea. But this idea rather remains hidden. It's like Notebook or Scriptures of the Golden Eternity: we got just the impression of there's something deeper, but we never get to know what is it. But, then again, for me, this words are about fame and anonymity, and the struggle between them inside Lee's head. Or maybe he's just mocking us all. In any case, it's a GREAT song. |
