I like how Circa Survive seems to be one of those abstract bands that use their own idea and then say what they mean in a very general fashion just to keep people thinking about what the meaning may or may not be for the song. It's a way of developing increased personal significance for each of it's listeners, and we shouldn't be arguing about what it may and may not be. We must realize that these songs are going to mean something different to everyone and that it's the human creativity that we must admire in both ourselves and the writer when listening to these. Being able to post your opinion is nice though since it lets us explore the imaginations of other Circa fans.. but I think it is useless to put down anyone else's ideas of whether this is or is not based on Christianity or anything else for that matter. |

what i got out of this was that Kezia's mother had been convinced that Kezia needed to die, and that she was just trying to comfort Kezia when she said
"Kezia, my darling, please never forget this world's got the substance of a frozen summer silhouette,"
Throughout this song I beleive Kezia would have been in jail writing a letter to her mother (who, as well as anyone else, isn't there for her) |

fixing the end of my last comment
*****at this point my take on the crime that she probably had, was that she must have stood up for some personal beleif, and the "system" couldn't see her point of view. **** |

I dunno... im my brain I have summarized this to... The guard is realising that the government is using religion unjustly to punish people for doing whatever it was that Kezia did, and he has thought about it and decided that he doesn't think that it is right. By the way... at this point my take on the crime that she probably stood up for some personal beleif that she had, and the "system" couldn't see her point of view. |

I think that this song is just the introduction to the prison guard within this three perspective story. It's just descibing how bad-ass this guy is. He pretty much explains that if anyone questions the beleif that he (as he would perceive it) belongs to, he's gonna defend it by using force. "Mind under matter career" If that makes sence lemme know |

Why do people keep posting reviews when the site is clearly named song meanings??? It makes it difficult to find decent opinions and participate in discussions when theres a bunch of random "I loooove this band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and "This song is sweet" posted in between. |
