I very very rarley comment on things but i actually felt compelled to make and account just to say how bad this cover is . I saw gary singing it on youtube and he is SMILING he is actually smiling and happily singing it haha i'm not even one of these poeple who go crazy anytime anyone covers bright eyes becuase i've heard some relly good ones, but this is awful, trully. i think they missed to point and the feeling of the song completly! |

I think this song is about young love that wont die. They are all each other has ever known , since they were "just kids" I think this iis apparent in the fact that if he dosnt return to her she" wont have a future any more". He is her future, what she is always longing for and if he was to disapear everything she knows would be diffrent. It seems that circumstance has torn them apart but nethir can let go. The song seems to be particularly focussed on the girls feeling but to me it is obvious that the boy is just as attached. "Now I write when I'm away Letters that you'll never read" Perphaps he is reffering here to songs he writes when he is away , that are for her but she will never really get to read them ? Only a suggestion. But i do think the fact that even when hes away he is still writing about her in one way or another shows tht she dosnt leave his mind more than he leaves her. I love this song so much becuase i think its something most of us can relate to. That naive raw first love that truthfully never really leaves you. We all have that one person that no matter who else is there they never really leave. He captures this so perfectly |
