This is truly a beautiful song. Time doesn't heal everything and that is a shocking realization when you first experience it. The guy's girl can't seem to get on track with him "You got hungry eyes that just can't look forward". It seems as if he is maturing and moving through a different phase of life and she is stuck in old ways, perhaps a major reason they did not work out?
