It is obvious to me that it means a lot more than just getting in the car and driving south. It is full off sexual innuendos. I just joined this site today and plan on finding other country songs that are this way. It is more prominent in country than people probably believe. Examples in this song: the title itself could mean south of her waistline, holding hands all the way to dixie land is just another way of saying this, lets fire it up and wind it out (yet again), and go south with a smile on, she won't pack the nylons, gonna leave her legs showing (for easy access), and it gets hot down where we're going!! lol |
