'The shadows come from under the ground, they sweep you off your feet. As soon as the sun sets, the fucking earth sinks.' -- I think that "the shadows come from uner the ground" part is talking about the sins people comit at night.. Someone has already said that, I think. The next part "They sweep you off your feet" Could mean how people get caught up in the things they do. And with the last bit "As soon as the sun sets, the fucking Earth sinks" As someone has already said, it could mean they sink morally. Or it could mean 'cause the killer kills mainly at night, right? Well, maybe it means the Earth sinks to him.. Like, bows to him or something 'cause they fear him... Okay, that was just completely stupid. xD I also have another theory about the first line of that part of the song. "The shadows come from under the ground," Like, demons.. Again, with the sin thing, peoples inner demons come out. You see what they're really like. &The other lines are basiclly the same. Geezz, I've pretty much just said what everyone else has said here. Eh. |

Hm, I think I'm off track here, but I think the camera bit is like... the media. Ealier in the song, it says "Give the paper something to talk about. Give the readers something to talk about." Maybe he started all this(the killings) just to stir up the town? Maybe things in Saylor Lake were dull, so he thought he'd give them something to talk about. At first, he was enjoying it. Then he started to grow tired of it ("I never thought that I would grow tired. Well, I did.") Maybe he was sick of the reaction he got from the people of Saylor Lake, I'm not sure. Maybe it just became an obsession, and he lost sight of why he started to kill ("but now I'm terribly mistaken for a fake") That's just what I think. I think I'm completely wrong, but I thought I'd give it a stab. XD |

I'm not sure what song it is, but in one of the songs he says he's saving them. If her were a vampire, the whole not biting them thing would be saving them. Depending on how he kills them, he can still get the blood he needs without turning them into a vampire also. So, in a way it could be seen as him saving them by not biting them. |
