| King Khan & The Shrines – Welfare Bread Lyrics | 15 years ago |

"You don't have to pay your pills anymore now!" sounds like "You don't have to pay your BILLS anymore now!" to me. Also, I think "To see you with lonesome displeasure" is actually "To see you with lonesome DISPAIR" |

| Graham Nash – Sleep Song Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song is gorgeous. Graham Nash is gifted at relaying identifiable feelings that are sometimes complex, using straight, simple and brief lyrics. I don't think there's much reading between the lines to be done here, save for the first like of the third verse, "When I return". I think he's probably talking about returning to the dream where the love between him and the person is singing about is uncomplicated and he can feel the same way he does in the first verse. |

| Goldfinger – Miles Away Lyrics | 15 years ago |

"How blind can I be? So when can I see you? Will it ever be? And how deep is my love?" Up until now I always thought he was saying "how BLUNT can I be," which made the verse wittier to me. Yeah, this is probably one of the best Goldfinger songs by far. Pure energy. I think this is an homage to the Irving Berlin song "How Deep Is the Ocean?". Anyone notice that? |
