this song is about teenage violence, and though mcr have made many protests to teenage violence before [their bullet proof vests on warped tour] this is their 1st lyrically. i dont like it much though. its too soft, preppy and... not mcr! i love mcr, just not this one. |

if you don't like mcr, why are you reading the lyrics?? and then, going further by posting comments about them? i dont think you should judge ppls music choices, we've all lived different lives, so we connect to songs differently because of our experiences etc. i sound like a dick, but its true. and the cover was at projekt rev. about as official as bobs solo project or "everybody tie your shoes." :D very funnythough, its all over you tube, watch :) |

mikey says he stays grounded by going home reguarly and being with his mum & loved ones etc. and when you're grounded you are yourself and are well... home... then theres the bit about the fans, thats kind of obvious... i'm pretty sure he says "well my gun fires seven different different shades of shit" but if he says the thing about markers, the whole thing could be about fans and touring and wanting to go home?? just a thought... |

gerard has said himself that the song originally started off as a joke between them, until he pushed for them to make it more serious. it is obviously anout drugs and blowing your brains offf. i think it also addresses the issues of suicide and depression with the amongst their fans and the think happy thoughts is giving them a way to cope or, think happy thoughts, plain and simple. |
