| Bob Dylan – I Want You Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Most likely my all time favorite Dylan song. His illusion of who yields power in this can be seen through several of the stanzas linear perspectives. All shed light on the concept of forbidden love. 1st- God 2nd- Country 3rd- Society 4th- Another Individual 5th- Himself The underlying "want" and emotions are congruent its just the context and perspective that changes. |

| Electric Light Orchestra – Sweet Talkin' Woman Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Feels like someone you meet at a bar or some random place; you have a great conversation then you never see her again and you hope to hell next time by random chance you run into this person again. | |

One of ELO's last songs (well until '06)... Awesome opening.... I tell my friend to listen to this song when she has a bad date. |

| Peter Gabriel – Solsbury Hill Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think the story is about Jesus coming to find Peter Gabriel and showing him there is hope. Peter Gabriel accepts and shows that he can lead his life the way he wants without remorse from leaving Genesis. Sometimes we make choices that may look great but don’t personally fit our own interests and often we are forced to abandon something good to achieve something great. | |
| 10cc – I'm Not In Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| My take on this song is it’s about a guy who doesn’t want to sacrifice his own pride even though the girl is totally going to reject him. The reason why isn’t even relevant…. Yet, I think everyone overlooks this song in its style- very sexual, earthy and melancholy. This dude had a very strong attraction to the girl, but had absolutely no emotional/mental connection. The rejection almost feels stylistically mutual between the two in the song- “be quiet, big boys don’t cry.” But there’s always a winner and a loser in any relationship… so I’m going with him ftl. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Stolen Lyrics | 18 years ago |

An androgynous lyric describes so much about the integrity of the human heart. Whether or not we fully grasp what’s going on with the protagonist’s heart, we understand that life is rich with desire and love. We have an untouchable, indescribable emotion that radiates when we aren't truly cognitive; when we hopelessly focused on that one moment of bliss, encompassed in a warm ether of an instance that nowhere else in spacetime can anyone truly know of. "Stolen" sheds that moment and shows that one's ability to have infinite love in a single frame of instance whether it be that summer, that wedding or just that moment when the two locked eyes and reminisced to a different story. |
