| this song is so amazing. it was exactly what my breakup with my boyfriend was like. he hurt me so much, and acted like an ass but it was all because he was naive. i wanted to know that he had felt the same pain. it's really get to the point of what a break up feels like when the other person moves on and you are left a wreck because of them, and they don't even realize that they've done anything to you. | |

ok - i love snow patrol, possibly one of my favorite bands ever, and i hear the parallel with snow patrol BUT i really think vega4 stands completely separately with this song. Chasing Cars is about escaping the world for a few precious hours and just being with the one you love, and wishing you wouldn't have to go back. life is beautiful seems to embrace the pain. it acknowledges it "our hearts they bleed and break" it is not afraid of the pain or hardships of life but rather says that in everything that happens you will be there to make life beautiful for the other person. it gives a sense the hope in life and the wonder and how great what we have is right now, even if sometimes it's hard. because we will always have someone's arms to run into. it could be a lover, but i think it sounds more like a father or mother talking to their child, explaining life. telling them to "let the monsters see you smile" and hoping that they will run back to them when they really do need help "Like you did when you were young" and that the parent "will hold you tightly When the hurting kicks in" and help you. because they will always be there. to help you when you fall, because life isn't always fair, but it is beautiful. |
