| Oysterhead – Army's On Ecstasy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The above is all probably true, but that's not what the song is about. This was based on an actual article in USA today about US Troops in Europe rolling in the clubs. It's methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine, and it IS ecstacy, not the ingredient found within. Mollies are the pure powder form, and "Rolls" are usually pressed pills bound with other less pleasant ingredients. Now you know. | |
| Oysterhead – Shadow Of A Man Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Sherlock- Trey can, and has, played like any of those guys you mentioned. He can also take it to the next level. I think one of the 4 you mentioned MAY have written a song in the last 5 years. Trey can play anything that comes to mind. Sorry, but he is the best modern guitarist there is. Period. | |
| Oysterhead – Rubberneck Lions Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The song was called Rubbernecking Lines before the album was released. I suspect to clean it up for the masses. It's about drugs | |
| Oysterhead – Polka Dot Rose Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me, it's a metaphor for plugging away at what you're good at it, even if it's not your first choice. | |
| Oysterhead – Owner Of The World Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's about Jon Fishman | |
| Oysterhead – Birthday Boys Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I've heard 2 stories about this one. In Chicago, Trey said that it was about a girl at Trey and Les' birthday party (Their b-days are a day apart). The rumor mill says that Trey stated that the girl wanted to do drugs off of Trey's private parts. Obviously Trey omitted these details from his public re-telling, but I tend to believe it. This song was originally an instrumental entitled Happiness in my Pants. This fact, coupled with the line "Sometimes I find Little treasures hidden deep within my drawers" lends some credibility to the rumor. Hilarious. |

| Seems like Keller is reading my mind. He has such an articulate grip on my thoughts and life, it is scary. | |
| Keller Williams – Kidney in a Cooler Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Props to the person who posted this song. Truly one of the greatest songs about being on the road. Here are a few corrections in capitals: A BREAK IN THE schedule, sufficient coolant leak We thought we were doin' the right thing Well ya cannot be too picky, in Cheyenne on a Sunday And up walked a mechanic with perpendicular teeth Perpendicular teeth x 8 By the seventeenth hour, they pulled us up in the BAY and funky tooth started diggin down under the hood After clearin a path to the water pump, and takin' a four hour break, By hour 27 we were all good, And we sailed From little America x 8 Only 2 days later, on the way down to Deep Elum, We broke down in Oklahoma, where the wind come behind the rain We got towed to a town called Perry, where a woman's car took priority She had a Kidney In A Cooler, so two nights we had to stay so she could Deliver the Kidney x 8 If you go down to Deep Elem, down to the gypsy tea room, tell em I'M broke down in Perry and I'll try to make it back soon Oh, sweet mama, your daddy got them Deep Elem Blues Oh, sweet mama, well your daddy got them Deep Elem Blues Well I know I'll be payin, ON THE CONCEPT AFTER IT'S THROUGH Unrealistic maybe, but there's somethin I got to do, I need A big ass bus with a satellite dish, a double-decker double wide, What I wish, I dream OPEN-EYED THAT THIS BE TRUE Double Decker Double Wide x 8 It's gonna have two ice makers, in both refrigerators, a silent but violent generator, to run the subwoofers and the disco ball, and the escalator up to the dance hall, On the second floor with a giant skylight, A drivin range and jacuzzi just right, for skinny dippin right after the show, At 80 miles an hour, it's worth all the dough....... Until then, I'll stand on the corner with a sign, Says, I will work for my Double Decker Double Wide My Double Decker Double Wide x 8 Perpendicular Teeth, Little America, Deliver The Kidney, In my Double Decker Double Wide x 4 |

| Phish – Mock Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I've read that this was just a studio sound check song that eventually got recorded. "Will you dance on Grave?" is a lyric from another song that the other members hated. Hence the joke. | |
| Phish – Beauty Of My Dreams Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| NOt actually a Phish song. Lyrics are pretty straight forward. | |
| Phish – Round Room Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think it's about playing live. The venues are round, the bus is square. the bus also has spiral stairs that I'm sure fans wait at the bottom of. On stage, Mike is one guy relating to thousands, outside the bus is more personal (Round room they can't find me anywhere). Not sure where he's going from there. | |
| Phish – Access Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Pretty straight forward lyrics, which is rare for a Phish song. Sounds more like They Might Be Giants, than Phish. | |
| Don Henley – The Boys of Summer Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The boys of summer are the Grateful Dead. He met the girl on Dead Tour. He was there for the long haul, she was into the fling. | |
