Utterly heart-breaking description of a fatal car accident. "Suddenly there's one where there used to be two" - so poignant and so brutally simple a depiction of being in the presence of death. Also, this song (like many of Emmy's) has such an unusual lyrical rhythm, it's completely arresting. |

Beautiful song, so gentle and pointed at the same time, like all her work. Tiny point - i'm fairly sure it's "Jazz's house in Soho" not "SOHO". Soho is a part of London, SOHO is "So/uth of Ho/uston St" in NYC. I think this is likely coz A) she's British and B) she played a gig in London and said hello to Jazz, who she said was in the audience. Yaay Emmy! |
