Showbread – Pseudo Angel Wings Lyrics 15 years ago
Where is this even from? It's not on anything I can find, not even loose samples and scraps.

Showbread – The Goat (Anorexia) Lyrics 16 years ago
The dialogue at the end is the discussion on monsters between Sigorney Weaver and that girl in the movie "Aliens."

Showbread – The Pig (Anorexia) Lyrics 16 years ago
It's about rage at being unable to fill yourself up with your own deeds, works, thoughts, and words, blaming God for not giving you everything, turning your back on him, and declaring you'll fill yourself up by your own hands, despite the fact that has not worked so far.

Makes me think of the movie "End of Evangelion."

Nine Inch Nails – My Violent Heart Lyrics 16 years ago
I find it sort of ironic how, simply put, this song is Reznor demonstrating collective unity in a good light, while two songs later, in "God Given," he bashes collective unity. Decorate both songs up however you want, when you get down to the bones of them, "My Violent Heart" is about collective unity as a necessary weapon for freedom and "God Given" is about collective unity as a diabolic weapon of fear and hate.

This song reminds me of Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke. It's awesome.

So does anyone know if this is a cover or not? I know it isn't on any of their released stuff, so I'm assuming it's either a cover or another of Dustin's random burst of creativity.

Ok so what is this from? Anyone know where it comes from, like which album or EP, or if it is a cover?

Thrice – Digital Sea Lyrics 18 years ago
Ok, this is kind of esoteric, but did anyone else think of the cartoon "Code Lyoko" when they first read the name of this song? Does anyone else wonder if Dustin might have seen the show a few times and liked the "digitial sea" concept?
Yeah, probably not. Still, a great song with a wonderful meaning, which you all have already hit upon.

Thrice – Image of the Invisible Lyrics 18 years ago
Ok. Does this song have to have one meaning? Can't Dustin, since he's obviously such a great songwriter, infuse a little duality into his lyrics? Maybe, here's a stretch, the song IS about Christian. AND the individuality of humans. AND even an insurgency in Nothern Uganda. Maybe all of you (or at least most of you) are completely right.
