Fergie – London Bridge Lyrics 17 years ago
Okay. I generally agree with all you people who are dissing this song and Fergie because I find most music like this to be meaningless and a waste of money. HOWEVER.

I've been looking through the youtube videos for a band I like who did an AMAZING cover of this. It's all like hard rock/metal sounding and it was done really well.

If any of you think 'This must be bull' I don't blame you because I didn't believe it at fist either :D But you'd only really like the cover if you knew and Like the band a whole lot. :D

Mika – Big Girl (You Are Beautiful) Lyrics 18 years ago
I've heard that he wrote this song, inspired by the prejudice his own mother got for being a bog woman. I think his heart was in the best place it could've been when he wrote this song. It sends out a message that big girls, whether they have a bit more fat to make them average, or if they're larger than life, (No offence intended, I think that big women are beautiful) That they look beautiful in their skin.

Everclear – Pale Green Stars Lyrics 18 years ago
I've listened to this song quite a few times, concertrating on the lyrics as I do whilst I'm walking around for a few hours with a school bag on my back and shoes that rub against my feet. And to be quite frank, I disagree with most, if not all, of the similar thories that are here... It might just be because I have an alternative way of looking at things, I dunno. Just hear me out. You might find it interesting to see what someone has to say about this particular song...

Sure. At first I thought hey, this kid is cutting herself. But after a while, and a lot of walking with my iPod on full blast to drown out the mindless chat of stupid people walking behind me, I looked at it at a different perspective.
I'll break it down for you.

'Hey- hey yeah
It's hard on a girl
When the blood won't come
When it ought to come'
At first I thought it was some form of self harm. But then I thought that it could be a young girl, around 13-16, not getting her period when she should've. I know it may seem stupid, because people have done deeper research into the song but I'm going to continue on anyway.

'It's hard on a girl
When you try to walk around
On the shaky ground'
Though these lines are right after the ones I just commented on, I thought that it could reffer to a small child, maybe a baby, trying to learn how to walk, her parents possibly fighting whilst trying to teach her...

I've got more but it's getting late.

Armor for Sleep – End of the World Lyrics 18 years ago
Ok... I'm actually going to attempt to talk about what I think this song means,

In my perspective, the end of the world may not be the actual end of the world. To a person, it could be the death of a loved one, or even the end of a very intimate relationship. In some points, especially the chorus, those aspects are really clear to me. But then you hear the verses, it seems like they are reffering to the ACTUAL END OF THE WORLD.
Or even if they ARE talking about the ACTUAL END OF THE WORLD, they could just be refferring to terrorists not being controlled and thousands of people loosing their lives. And with the whole, 'I'm so tired of running away' line, could show that all this person's life, they've felt that they've done nothing to help anybody but themselves and now that everything is ending, they feel that now more than ever, they're truely helpless.
The orgin of this song is of which has perplexed me, because to me and my over thinking, I see a lot of different views and ideas all mooshed up into one. If anyone has any theories of what this song is actually about, they would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that a lot of what I've said is fictional but, that's just what I think...

Everclear – You Make Me Feel Like A Whore Lyrics 18 years ago
I dunno if I personally see a 'hidden meaning' behind these lyrics. I can really relate to this song, or used to be able to, because there was this one guy I liked and all the lyrics from this song just mirrored my feelings. Like, 'Sometims I feel like I'm breathing underwater' is really what I used to relate to the most... But that's just me.
Other than my personal roots with this song, I do too feel that it's about some kind of relationship where the guy finds that his partner is using him but he doesn't have the power to stop it. And maybe he plans revenge but just can't put the plans into actions because he has the voice in the back of his head telling him that, in a strange way, his life was incomplete without that girl.

Everclear – Electra Made Me Blind Lyrics 18 years ago
I agree with your theories. And two lines that really send me that same message are 'stupid happy with everything, I pulled myself down so easily' It could be indicating the feeling of being high on drugs and how they ruin someone's life.

Drake Bell – Up Periscope Lyrics 18 years ago
I just like the way Drake could put in a mature message of sex into a song but still keeping it a fun song to listen to. And I agree with shut me up, He isn't JUST talking about sex. He's keeping the love, romance and relationship theme in the song. He's twenty years old, he's allowed. The thing I say to people who disagree to his choice of lyrics is, if you think you can do a better job, go and become a huge music success. ((Not meaning to seem mean or bitter.))
And with SweetIntoxication's question, I'm not so sure if anyone else though this but it's just what I thought of but, couldn't he be talking about kids? I know it's highly unlikely but that's just what I thought of...
Also, AvA-182 is right, this is a whole lot better than some of the mainstream music you get these days. I come from Australia and I tend to sway away from the music that all the people are raving about. Because the music everybody is into is all about sex or drugs or prostitutes... Music has definatly gone downhill. But then you get musicians like Drake who's able to keep the message of sex in there without making it a crap song and still keeping a meaning in his lyrics. That's what I love about him, his taste in lyrics.
