The meaning in this song is pretty striaghtforward, the tone is not of over confidence but the total opposite, it's of nostalgy and melancholy that comes from the feeling of being a shining star whos glitter doesn't seem to reach whom it matters the most, it's about feeling "lightweight" not because he can't sing or make music, but because whom he wants to impress cares more about the music of others I love this song, just discovered it today, the ooonly thing I don't like is the heavy guitar/drums sections, they really kill the mood of this song which would otherwise be very moody, perfect for a rainy day |
