am writing because i can't figure out exactly what the song really means. especially when the song mentioned children and wife... hmmm, it seems to me that the song is telling the the person on the song is on his last phase, a terminal phase of an illness. and he's reminiscing the wonderful moments that happened in his life especially when he met and how they met with his love of his life... but beautiful song... heart crushin' when you listen to the melody.. it's lonely... |

guys, i think we don't have to interpret the song line by line... we should see it wholistically... so far, i cannot see a sequence of a story and a pattern to form a conclusion... on the song it is given that regina represented delilah... delilah never loved samson, she was affected from the outside pressure, the influence of the philistines... if we are talking about love, it endures all... samson also clearly never loved delilah... he never disclosed his secret not until delilah attempted the fourth time and he was sick of her nagging and persistence... he never trusted delilah with his secret, just lost his temper and made a mistake of disclosing it... apparently, the person singing might have been in a relationship in which she thought it was already true love, but later on failed because it was just based on, perhaps as what we can see on samson & delilah's story... lust, deceit, and disobedience... |
