Branden Campbell's comment doesn't really match up with the song content though. The lyrics to me seem like he's singing about his previous relationship, particularly when 2 people bump into each other in a club/bar type venue, the first verse sounds like he knows she's there, and he feels pressured to move on but alls he really wants to do is just get back with his ex. The chorus just sounds like he's fed up of the effort of putting it into a relationship that's lost, almost to the point of regretting it and just wanting a fresh start, from his birth to be precise. The second verse, is a bigger expression of the chorus, but going a bit deeper and revealing that he's really torn apart from the break up, and it's like it hasn't effected her. That's my perspective anyway. |
