To me this song is about fake friends. "Come as you are as I want you to be" "as a friend". Pretty much he's talking about how he's going to do somethin destructive and needs his "friend" to come and talk him out of it. "Come dowsed in mud, soaked in bleach As I want you to be As a trend, as a friend As an old" Those lines especially "as a trend" means that his friends come to help him because thats the norm not because they are really concerened. And he's convinving them that he doesn't have a gun (when in reality he does). Maybe I'm completely off, but that's what i got from it. Also, maybe it's about him remembering his friends and loved ones and all the people that came as they were into his life, before he kills himself. |

| To me this song is about understanding what's important in life. A person was too busy to help out a friend when they needed them ("Something about you that makes me feel bad. But, they've learned from their mistake and it made the experience made them stronger ("Something about you will make me stronger. Now I’m aware when a man falls rebound, my fault"). I think this song is about a guy who screwed up and is begging for another chance. It can also be about a guy who wasn't giving a girl a chance when she really wanted him and now he realizes that he loves her and wants to make it work. Overall I love this song! |

I cried for about an hour while this song was on replay. One of the most incredible songs with beautiful lyrics, vocals and melody. I was crying because I understood it to be about a lost love. I interpreted it in my own situation, where I loved this person, we tried hard for 4 years to make things work and then we couldn't fight for it anymore. At the end of everything, I remember how much I still love him and how things were and could've been, but they are not. I remember all of the "Warm Decembers" and they make me cry, but I also understand that we can't be together and this song gave me my peace. |
