| Radiohead – Bullet Proof...I Wish I Was Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
when i first heard this i thought it was about someone suffering from a low confidence, especially with the line "i could burst a million bubbles" which could be reffering to deflating egos? however he aint willing to risk it as hes not "bullet proof" he doesn't have the confidence to stand out and take a shot himself. after reading comments on here though, the song does make sense about how the singer wants to be less vulnerable, maybe the pins line is referring to metaphorical stitches? as in recovering from the emotional trauma he wants to be protected from, dunno about the bubbles in that case though! but like penge says, the song can be taken in different ways. oh and i'm totally loving drews take on it, i could picture a factory worker/janitor who once had high goals, but got screwed over by the system, pulling down their confidence, moulding him into what they need him to be. |

| Cold – Ocean Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Ever heard the phrase "theres plenty more fish in the sea"? I like to think he means his "fish" has slipped back into the ocean. Also i think the lines "and i watched you slip away and the ocean's ours" is actually "there i watched you slip away into the oceans arms" This song and a different kind of pain got me through a rough situation with a girl XD, put me back on my feet ^^. |

| Earshot – Sometimes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Its about falling apart at the seams, the singer is telling you not to change yourself into something your not, just because of what other people say or do. | |
| Finger Eleven – Window Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I'm surprised this song hasn't got any comments, i love the lyrics! To me, i think its about some guy who has a crush on some girl and he is too afraid to tell her, the writing on the window is metaphorical for whatever way he's expressing his love. When he says "now the dirt on the window is showing" he means his intentions have been discovered and hes regretting opening up. Story of my life, haha... |

| Staind – Falling Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This is more accurate: "Whats happened to you? Its obvious you've changed Something deep inside you is probably to blame Must be lonely up there with your head up in the clouds Even though you got there what does your conscious tell you now? /Chorus/ Its never the same on the way down How does it feel when your feet finally hit the ground? When all of your bridges are burnt down And the sandcastles you built are falling down You had us all sitting right there in your hand But you had to fall because thats how this life is Got your fingers burned by burning candles at both ends Now the tables turned and now your demons are your firends /Chorus/ So now i question what your gonna do Now that everythings caught up with you You believe the shit you say is true But everybodys on to you Life remembers everything you do Your karma has cought up with you /Chorus/ Falling down..." Sorry, just a perfectionist ;), i love this song, most definitely about an old friend who moved on to "more important" things or people, and now hes lost them, hes hoping to use you to fallback on. |

| Staind – Novocaine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I would say that all the things (depression, hostility, obsession in vanity, etc) that cover our newspapers, tv and the net are the novocaine, making us desentized from our lives. Note: Novocaine is a drug is used as an anesthetic within dentistry |

| The Exies – A Modern Way... Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song to me is about the fact that thanks to todays media and general attitude to religion and tradition, people don't know what to believe anymore. | |
