I think he may have dated this person before, but now it's only about sex, "Lay me down the lie will unfurl lay me down to crawl" and "it's way to broke to fix no glue, no bag of tricks" That now sex is a lie of love. That the person he loves sleeps around, and the only way for him to be close to her (or him i suppose) is to sleep with 'em because that's the only way for them to express love. |

Well I think it's named Haemoglobin, because the person in the the lyrics has sickle cell anemia. so when they hung him, they discovered a scientific discovery. "Doctors looking down on me Breaking every law of science How'd I ever end up here? A latent strain of color blindness" So of course it's about racism. When the person in the story is put in a high altitude his red blood cells, sickle or curl. It's really common in African Americans- so maybe they had no idea what it was. That's why the cut the person down, so the white men could examine them. It's a hunch. |
