this is ever such a good song, its just a really cool sound! i think that the line 'But still its better to be shy than stinking drunken old queen thats always got to have his way' is about when Mr Pete was a little bit of a prostitute to fund his, erm, habits because in Kids in the Riots book about the libertines, pete refers to his clients as old queens...so i thought perhaps it could be smething to do with that! |
