This song is about how max's ex gf's new boyfriend figuratively "killed" her by ruining her. The intro is meant to sound like the devil because its the creepy boyfriend speaking, not max. I envision him as an older guy who talks to her on the computer alot- he says mechanical lust like he seduces over the computer like some sort of sex predator. Max wants to "save" her and bring her back to the way she used to be becuase he feels that this guy has "buried" her alive. The second verse is about how the boyfriend treats her like shit and sort of dresses her up to make himself look better...The 'stretch your fractured pretzel spine' refers to how she has been in sort of the fetil position due to the fact that she was buried alive. The "held a book burning in your backyard is reference to how hitler and past tyrants burned books which could be a metaphor for how she has sort of rebelled and made the wrong choice to be with this prick and her parents dissagree- The "filled with fire and finally light" line refers to how she is pissed and seeks revenge and finally sees light becuase shes been buried for so long. |

I think this song is about a drug addict (coke prefirably) who moves out to miami and becomes indulged in coke after he realizes he no longer wants to be with his past gf/soon to be wife. Adam says "every hour on the hour" which could imply snorting coke bc coke addicts usually are taking it every hour. He also says he is unable to uphold a relationship anymore and is not the same man he used to be in the whole bridge about the wedding bells and his reluctancy to marrying her |

I just want to comment on one line in the song "the cameras follow me for miles" is a relation to when max had entered his manic state in bipolar and believed his like was "essentially the truman show" and that he had been filmed his whole- theres a whole interview on the website halfofus.com it has that fag pete wentz and like models talking about their problems with either anorexia or bipolar in max's case...max's is the only good one |

well this is my take on the song-and the lyrics posted are wrong-This song is sort of an encouragement song if u will for kids who are in bands or are into any type of music-He says spit it from ur mouth like a foreign object, sing it to the world like a drunken prophet- This means very bluntly...go out, play shows, and do what u love if it's playing music...then he says why do u ingest this meaning- kids sort of eat up everything artists say and look so deep into every word- The part with the mystery rash and no job and the no more scanning skin for bumps is a metaphor for how a girl can "fuck" you over without really fucking you literally. |
