i think missjen5's interpretation is pretty right on, but i had a different interpretation of the "...inside out" group of lyrics-stanza-whatever. for me, it seems that he is describing the sequence on events---kinda like an emotional montage..1."turn me..." describes the hurt pain 2."try to see..."knee-jerk reaction/defense mechanism 3. "turn the page..." realization/understanding the situation 4."and i'll try..." remedy/ apology. to me, this is the secret to any relationship. everyone gets hurt by someone at some point in time...and MOST of the time it was because of a mis-understanding...and the point is life is better when THAT person is in the loop. |

| it is such a pretty song. i just think is about the nature of relationships. sometimes, they just weren't meant to be, yet most of the the time, the timing isn't right, and someone gets hurt. perhaps, she is the one that got hurt in the past, and is just coming to terms with it. the beauty lies in forgiveness and being free of emotions associated with being hurt. | |

okay, this is gonna be a stretch. i agree with chostickthugz's interpretation and see another layer. i think it is about being present...not being worried about the future..ideas or beliefs...things that really don't exist. "its not, its not" is relating to things not 'supposed' to be, kinda like social norms and social protocal...things that don;t exist. "i am, i am" verses is in the present and listening to the mind and body...and as a result, spitiually growing. |
