I wish people would stop crying over joe strummer, ive met him on two occasions in america, he was a great person with an incredible passion for music and life. Some of you make it sound like he knew it was coming in the near future or that he wanted to happen, neither of which is true. So geet your facts straight or think about some more before saying how much you love something. And I will tell you right now, he would not want people crying over him, i did when it happened, of course, but everytime i hear, no, when i think of joe strummer, i think of what a great guy he was, the first time i met him he says he told me, he was amazed at how tall I am, and that he was jealous of my long fingers, because he always had a hard time with his small fingers. I told him he could have because he would be much more productive with them than I am. He laughed, than told me a story about a concert he did in brixton, was so cool to meet him. I met him two years later, and you know what, he remembered my name. That is the kind of person Joe Strummer was. |

its a great song, i certainly dont cry over it though, damn people, its a happy song. Joe was a humble man, i met on two occasions ins america, and i dont think he would want people crying over his music. he wanted music to be enjoyed and to be loved, not to be thought of as a sad reminder of someones passing. if you've seen his dvd he did, its all about how he just wants his record to break even so he can keep making more music, and he travels the world to make it happen, its a great film. |
