Yeah, I hear what you're saying and you have a point, but I don't even think that's what it is. This kid who took a sword with him to school and went on a random rampage was clearly disturbed already. Even if a song/songs from Slipknot inspired him to do this, if it hadn't been Slipknot, it would have been something else. A different band, a movie or perhaps a tv game that would have "inspired" him. The seeds of violence would not have been planted by any of those though. My question is, why were the parents so detached from his life that they couldn't tell that their son was in a dark place? But I guess it's easier to blame obscure outside factors. |

Hey killwestlife. I'm in South Africa too and I laughed so hard when they were trying to put the blame on Slipknot (I realise the situation is no laughing matter). It's as ridiculous as them trying to blame Marylin Manson for Columbine. Music is my escape. This "angry hate music" makes me feel better and keeps me from snapping at the world. The type of people who go to their schools and kill fellow pupils are disturbed in the head already. Music can't do that to you. Oh, and where the parents at?

This song gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it. And it leaves me feeling good, you know. I can never explain in words what this song does to me, but it is awesome. I am yet to hear anything, any type of song that can do what this song does. |

This song always reminds me of Romy and Michelle's High School reunion. Damn, I love that movie.
That aside, it's a timeless and beautiful song. I think it's about a lost love, as said before above. I think the woman still remembers all the details of what happened with her and her lover and it still confuses her to no end as they both seem to think of the other, but there seems to be a distance (not sure if that makes sense). If he had to look for her though, she's be right there for him. |
