Everyone is missing the whole point of this song! It's about music!! ahhhh! LOL Music should be more than a "feeling"... so enough of this "they suck-they're better" emotion... this song is about what music does to you... The true heart of this song is in the guitar riffs played from the original track by the band Boston... however, I don't deny that NSYNC is a good (boy) group... they have vocal talent... and even if they were "manufactured"... lol... they were "manufactured" well... This is a great acapella cover... I can appreciate NSYNC's efforts. It's just a cover... probably a song a group would audition to a record exec to prove vocal ability. All around ... job well done to them... all of them! |

GRAVITY... can pretty much be anything that brings anyone down (duh!)... anything that brings a person to their knees... anything that has you in the dark (keep me where the light is - he begs to "stay the hell" away from "gravity") Not very sure what Mayer's "gravity" was specifically when he wrote this... but he did a really great job illustrating the "back-and-forth" struggle one has when they're being pulled down by "gravity"... my ultimate favorite John Mayer song... not to mention that the music is incredible... the blues riff gives me heartburn, it's soooo good... lol |

"if my past is any sign of your future you should be warned before i let you inside" good game Mr. Mayer... very jeE-nEe-yUs ;) Only some people can relate to actually being honest with themselves and say... "Hey... I don't think I'm mature enough to really be in a relationship. I don't know if I can be unselfish." The attraction is there... but Mayer knows he's an asshole and will possibly send the girl in a runaround. Great song... music arrangement is great... love the horns that introduce the guitar riffs (which are fantastic, btw) then slowly fade into the end... yip! |

=D ... it's about an orphan that changed her whole life perspective while she was in Rwanda. this song is so powerful... she uses a lot of illustration in the verses... expresses Christian mission in the chorus, quoting James ... and I really love how strong her vocals became as she came into the bridge... then took it back down to finish the song. she's one my favorite hillsong-ers lol |
