I've been listening to this song and have been researching lyrics on several sites, trying to gather a set of lyrics that is accurate. There are some parts of which I'm still doubtful, but then there are some others which I would say I've made up correctly, please revise them and listen to the song with them in consideration: "Can we talk about the funny things? when we're hanging out the heavy mist leaves" "View other people lie like fools I wonder if they feel like we do when always teasing but I can't imagine" "And if you don't wanna talk let's sing that it's been about us finding new things that's always pleasing to share with some people but they'll never know you or just how I feel about your three umbrellas" That's about it. The last bit of the song is pretty much undecipherable, have no clue about it. Hopefully someone will disclose it sometime, though. |

This song lyrics make me so sad and happy at the same time, they're like an expression of my feelings said by someone else, it's strangely comfortable to know that he and I are passing through the same situation, but at the same time it reminds me that longevity will keep us away, it's like trying to clear your view from the illusion you are trying to believe yourself, it's like there's a part of us that wants to be together but it's not more than an illusion. I really like VNV nation lyrics they have this kind of special element that makes me feel so comforted by reality and I find them always very adaptable to any context I'm into, I always find them really inspiring but always so depressive, this songs represents that merging of feelings very properly. -cries-laughs- |

I love this song, is so damn addictive! I never get tired of listening to it. I think it's about a person who had a regular lifestyle but then something happens in his/her life that implies a radical change so now the person is confused and all what she/he had established goes down owe to a circumstance that is opposite to his/her beliefs and habits, so there's when worlds collide like two different things and you have to pick one. |

Oh, I find it really funny how most of people come here and say that Ashlee and her music suck and all that stuff about the message for little kids, I mean if this song is good or bad is a matter of taste so I see no reason for criticizing what others like, about the children thing, well, apparently parents are too busy or careless about what their kids like and besides I don't think Ashlee or any artist could pick their audience, I don't see any reason why Ashlee should really worry about the message of her songs, it's simple, whoever likes her music is free to listen to it and it's not her obligation to watch for parents' responsibilities. About the way she dresses, I don't think someone can be judged by the way she/he dresses, I think one wears what one wants, and it's really hard to say she tries to be or look like a rocker or something, she probably does as she probably doesn't, I mean if someone here came and say "I've talked to her and she is a poser" I would believe in what that person is saying but I don't think any of the people that posts here knows Ashlee Simpson so I think it's not fair when they say she is this or that. Personally I don't think she's a really good singer and I don't like her song pretty much but I have to admit I like this one and it's really catchy. Finally, does it really matter if Ashlee has talent or not? again, that's a matter of taste and maybe people like trashy songs or artists, but that can't be helped, and looking at what makes an artist nowadays talent is not the most important thing, we've made music a show of good looking people and songs for the masses, and that's it, so if she sings bad or good is not that important anyway there are still lots of people who like her and frankly the fact that people buys your CDs and listen to your music, even if it's good or bad, is the only thing that's important and unfortunately I'd predict it will always be that way. Oh I almost forget, I think this song is about sexual fantasies and probably the video has the same function as the expression "la la" which is hide the real meaning of this song. |
