I think that's it about his sleeping patterns being so fucked up that he moves to a place in a completely different time zone to correct it. he is British, after all - moving to New York, where it's day instead of night (and vice versa) would mean he fixes his sleeping. he's talking about his party lifestyle - "I've just had the craziest week Like a party bag of lies, booze and then deceit" - which would mean (stereotypically) he's up all night and sleeps all day. he's fucked up because of this - "I put one foot forward and ended up 30 yards back Am I losing touch or am I just completely off the track" so he talks about going to New York to fix this, where his day would be their night, thus making his sleep patterns easier. (maybe that's a bit silly, but it's how I see it.) |
