he dumped her cos of her annoying personality--the silly things she'd say. she hooked up with one of his friends: a rebound or revenge. now he wants her more cos he can't have her, and he is self-loathing enough to know she's not impressed with him. he says "party dress" to bring up a specific time his friend, and she talked to make it seem like he was on to them from the beginning--he's not stupid. at the end of their conversation he tries to bring her down by telling her he "knows the world is killing" her then adds the line he's been rehearsing in the mirror, or maybe has used before: "my aim is true". |
