| Crystal Castles – Black Panther Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I love this song. I like how strangely beautiful they have perceived the drowning of your child for the better of its life, its a sick circumstance to be in I guess. Also I think it's "I'll pass you to the quay" Too young to be my mother would work as well as daughter, in respect to what the child maybe thinking. But either work. its an eerie song, I like it. |

| Innerpartysystem – Heart of Fire Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I reckon it's about a guy who made a girl fall in love with him even though he didn't care about her that much. And he's running it through now and saying how he just said everything she ever wanted to make her happy and now it's gone too far he is revealing what really went on. It's a sad thing that happens and it's something we all do. Hearts on fire seems to be the metaphor for use just bruning people emotions. |

| Innerpartysystem – Don't Stop Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think it's "Lies are entertaining" and yeah the song is about the cycle of media, really. We (as in consumers) don't stop so they can get away with what they want and therefore they can do what they want. The song i s aplea for us not to stop being their slaves even though he just outlined it so brutally honest. | |
| Placebo – English Summer Rain Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I get the feeling this song is about waiting for life to get better and not doing anything about it. English summer rain being th remakr that every time you see the weather is the same, but you still hope for it to get better (seems to last for ages) showing your hope for it to soon die. I'm in the basement you're in the sky saysto me that the rain is in the sky, keeping away from it in the basement and you hope that someone will come and make it better. There's nothing to do cos it's raining, and that's trapping you inside and you hope someone will venture into the rain to come by and make it more interesting. The whole start agan thing is like sleeping at night waking up and the cycle continues, and the last part of i can't sleep without you etc. is the fact you can't be alone anymore. when you've been alone for such a long a time and anyone will be company and this guy has been away so long that he'll love the first person to drop on by |

| Stone Sour – Hell & Consequences Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I get the feeling this song is to do wtih his change in musical direction as Stone Sour. Being Political stuff and how the Government will just take down people who differ in their opinion. That being the Hell and the Consequences are people like Corey, who are standing up agianst them. Using their influence to make pople stand. Just a feeling though. |

| 30 Seconds to Mars – The Kill Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I get the feeling this song is definately about find yourself, and the whole. The reason it's called teh kill is possibly because it's about killing the person you think you are and becoming the person you are destined to be. It's easy to mix this song up with relationship ties, and in fairness the song is about a relationship, the relationship with yourself, we take it for granted. When looking at it in that light you see each word aking sense on it's own, no need to explain it cos once you get the idea of the song it all makes sense. |

| Pendulum – Hold Your Colour Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I get that this song is almost a love song. And they literally mean "hold your colour". Simply because of teh lines "she looked into your eyes and saw what lay beneath don't try to save yourself - the circle is complete" Which can simply be a message to a guy who say is in love with a girl, but dare not tell her, but she feels the same, and saw what you had to offer yet you tried to hide it. However this alternative isn't anything to me. I quite like the ideas explored, the internal struggle we always face when faith dies inside of us for that part of life when we don't think it can get any worse. Someone or something will always "twist the knife" and you need to open your eyes because this thing has seen what lays beneath and is aiming to destroy it. What I get from the circle is that it's too late to save yourself, but help others, everyone you can to make something with their colous before someone takes it away. I see this circle as being a cycle of people who forget they have as much chance to make something they dream of as anyone else "holding your colour" is indeed keeping onto the things that make you and teh dreams you desire, hold tight or you'll lose them. |

| Rise Against – Worth Dying For Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think this song is depicting a lot. I think it's showing we're all fighting for stupid things and while we're fighting each other we're neglecting what's the real issue. I get that they want a world with out nationality and a world where we're joined together tackling the real problem, global warming. The line "What if we all die young?" says a lot if you ask me simply because it's saying one of two things. If everyone dies at war who'll correct the wrongs we've done to the planet or it could mean if we keep fighting the world will die and teh next generation are the "young" and they'll all die. And this what is worth fighitng for. I reckon |

| Rise Against – Life Less Frightening Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Great song. I love the songs idea of not asking for a perfect world on this downward spiral to dystopia but for something more managable. It makes me almost sad to see this song in the light that we have people begging for a "life less frightening" because war is everything with seem to live for. "Flat line, no pulse, but eyes open" is the line that really shows that people are too scared to act. They see everything but don't have a life to do anything with and they don't have a life because all they say is slowly dying and is slowly turning to a life that is a world run by fear. We criticize th Nazis for what they tried to do but we're all just Nazis these days, just more subtle. The good people never get a chance and this song is a great sign of that it's marvelous and catchy too. I'd also like to point out that Rise Against Basslines are really well done. |

| Nine Inch Nails – The Great Destroyer Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I agree with the explosion idea with the electronic sound taking into mind that In This Twilight is the song afterwards which kind of leads into this idea. That aside, this song is amazing really well done, but then again, tell me a bad song on Year Zero (Excluding Vessel, I don't feel for it) I think this TV/film idea will be amazing if it happens. So yeah good song which has been pretty much nailed as far as meanings go I suppose you could drag a thousand out of this song and rebellion but it seems it's pretty much nailed. So yeah, cool song. |
