| Am I the only one who thinks this song is just blatantly sexual? Glory hole, blindfold, flesh full of blood? I think it's possibly the sexiest song ever recorded and that some of the lyrics are just there for texture and sound, and to add to the general mood. | |

Of course Josh said it's about fucking, I think he says pretty much everything is about fucking. I think whoever posted that it's about Nick is right (s/he didn't want to reveal his name, but hell the cat's been out of the bag for 2 years now). Josh kept his mouth shut for a long time about that whole situation, and I think that's the epitome of The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret. I can't remember all the posters' names, but I don't think comparing QOTSA to Kyuss is unfair. They're more evolved, sure, but it's not like Josh turned into a whole different person just because he formed a new band. And for the record, Monster Magnet does not suck! They are an awesome, tight, original band. You might get a bad impression if all you heard was their radio singles, but try out the album stuff, it's head and shoulders above most of the tripe out there. |

I like to think this is a song Josh wrote for Brody, and that maybe he asked Mark Lanegan to sing it on the album so it wouldn't be in-your-face obvious. "My hope is on the horizon...." I always took to mean that he is scanning the horizon, waiting for her to come back. |
